Biography
WIP LOL
Nora Devaughn was born a nameless experiment, the result of unmanaged and unauthorized research into aetherochemical anomalies. Wandering scholars too outlandish to permanently take up residence in Sharlayan found themselves experimenting on ways to alter ones aetherical density to facilitate a temporary boost in mental faculties and awareness. These experiments began harmlessly enough, designed for students of the land and hand to assist in their handiwork and the like. However, as time passed stranger and stranger modifications were requested by the head of research. More and more rules began to be broken, and lines began to be crossed. Experiments on live subjects, unnecessary levels of modifications, and dangerous levels of aether were being harnessed for these experiments. Many passionate researchers simply would not comply with what was being asked of them and the project was eventually reported to the Forum. The experiments were to be discontinued immediately lest the research team be cast out of Sharlayan. For most, the journey ended here. They cut their losses and bemoaned the loss of a promising idea to an off-color scholar at the head of it.A small group of about ten made their way out of Sharlayan under the cover of darkness and a few forbidden tomes, searching for a secluded place to continue their research unbothered. It was under these circumstances that Nora would be born. In order to test the effects of highly condensed aether on living things, living things had to be aquired. Or made.Nora existed during his early years as merely a thing. A test subject, an object, something to poke and prod. He didn't mind, as he didn't know any better.
